This hidden gem is a tropical oasis set in the heart of the jungle, only a 5-min car drive away from the city center of Ubud. A safe space built for relaxation, inner healing and personal growth. Here we offer a way for our guests to connect with Mother Nature, leading to self-discovery and transformation. Organize your retreat or even own wedding at our beautiful place. Basundari provides the best environment for practicing yoga and meditating with a Yoga Shala and several meditation spots. We also feature two common pools, a café, and an upper and shared space. We have an in-house chef with breakfast included and optional lunch and dinner.
Yoga Shala
A big open and wooded place (65m2) situated among gigantic bamboo trees near the river. When it rains, a soothing waterfall cascades down the back of the Shala. It accommodates 23 yoga mats, 40 sitting yogis, or 15 aerial yogis inside. Also the Yoga Shala has blankets, blocks, bolsters, yoga mats, cushions, straps, a white board, and 15 aerial yoga hang points.
Meditation & Relaxation Areas
We have many hanging baskets, a hand-shaped place, or at the upper space deck mounted in the tree tops with beanbags.
Infra-red Sauna
Unwind, recharge, and rejuvenate with our infrared sauna looking out to a beautiful view.
Ice bath
Activate the body’s natural healing powers using cold therapy.
2 Pools
Two lovely pools are available for a refreshing swim. One is an eternity pool with views of coconut palms and rice fields, while the other has a deck looking at trees and a 4m high Buddha statue.
Dedicated Team
We have 12-17 people that will be managing all the details of your retreat, so the only thing you have to do is focus on your retreat. We will take care of all the logistics around Basundari because that’s what we are the best at. We can serve the food, clean the property and rooms when you want. We will answer all the questions and requests from guests and so on. This will give you the space to enjoy, focus and relax during your retreat.

We have 11 rooms and can host up to 22 people. All the beds in the rooms can be set up as 2 singles or 1 double.

2 weeks agoWe had 15 women on a retreat here and the experience was nothing short of amazing. The staff were all so incredible, they offer both a morning and turn-down service in the evenings. If you are hosting a retreat I have only the best things to say!
