The Lighthouse Hotel and Spa

We had an absolutely incredible stay at The Lighthouse Retreat! The cabañas are stunning, the beds are super comfortable, and the rooms are thoughtfully designed with amazing views, cozy hammocks, and all the little touches that make you feel right at home. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the care and attention from the owners. They shared so much about the island, recommended hidden gems, and handled everything for us from arranging a private snorkeling tour with a dedicated captain to coordinating stops at quiet beaches like Otto Beach. Everything was planned perfectly, so we could just relax and enjoy the experience without having to lift a finger. The chocolate massage the next day was an absolute highlight — pure bliss! Staying on the hill, away from the beachfront, was such a blessing. During our stay, high winds and rough seas made beachfront accommodations uncomfortable, with sand and wind everywhere, but we were safe, calm, and comfortable. We even met guests who had moved from beachfront hotels because of the sand flies. if you want a clean, quiet, and peaceful stay, this is the place. The beach is just a 10-minute walk when you want to go, but being tucked up here makes all the difference, especially when the sea is rough. Everything ran smoothly, from check-in to checkout, and the staff made us feel safe, cared for, and completely at ease. We can’t recommend The Lighthouse Retreat enough, it’s truly one of the best places to stay on Little Corn Island, and we can’t wait to come back!

The hotel was beautiful and well-maintained. We booked a snorkeling trip through the hotel. The owner charged $35 per person, even though the same trip was offered everywhere else on the island for $25. We had to pay her directly in cash. The significant price difference unfortunately left a bad impression. Furthermore, an amount for breakfast was charged to our credit card without us being given a receipt beforehand or the amount being explained transparently. Upon arrival, you have to immediately enter your credit card details into the hotel's own system. Registering your card via Booking.com is not sufficient. This allows the hotel to charge amounts at any time, which doesn't inspire confidence. Check-out is at 9:00 a.m., which we found very early. Additionally, a letter states that a $50 fee will be charged for even a few minutes' delay. Combined with the mandatory credit card registration, this unfortunately feels more like coercion than customer service. Overall, we got the impression that the hotel is very focused on generating additional revenue, which somewhat dampened our stay.

The Lighthouse Retreat is an absolute gem. From the moment we arrived, we felt relaxed and very well taken care of, especially by Naseem. And the resident cat Popcorn too :) The breakfasts & coffee were delicious, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared — easily one of the highlights of our stay. The ambiance of the place is calm and welcoming, with beautiful views that make you want to slow down and simply enjoy the moment. Everything feels harmonious and well designed, perfect for a peaceful island retreat. It’s in the middle of the island so only couple or dozen or so minutes to go to the beach or main restaurants & bars. A special mention goes to the chocolate massage by Naseem — an amazing experience, deeply relaxing and unique. It was truly exceptional and highly recommended, especially if you haven’t yet have a chance to try this type of stress-relieving experience :) Above all, the kindness and warmth of the owner made our stay unforgettable. Genuine hospitality like this is rare and makes all the difference - thank you, Naseem. We would absolutely love to come back and can wholeheartedly recommend The Lighthouse Retreat to anyone visiting Little Corn Island. 🌴✨

ABSOLUTELY PHENOMONAL! While visiting the corn islands this week, my boyfriend and I had planned to get certified in scuba diving, until my ear clogged up and I had to stay behind. I was trying to find somewhere to do a little pampering and I came across the lighthouse retreat, just a short, safe 15 minute walk from where I was staying! I was able to easily navigate their website and decided to splurge on a facial AND one of their chocolate massages! Booking online was easy and super straightforward. Okay so just walking up the hill to these lovely sisters property was like a magical fairytale. Instantly surrounded by lush greens, beautiful cabanas, and all around just a calm island vibe as soon as you walk up. I was greeted with a fresh coconut and was able to hydrate while she set up for me. It was lovely to soak it all in before the real fun! The facial, absolutely rejuvinating! I swear she took all the stress I've been holding in my face and melted it away. It smelled so good and she really has some magic fingers!! The chocolate massage.....Y'ALL! IT'S AN OUT OF THIS WORLD EXPERIENCE! I got to pour in the sugar, coffee, coconut into the wonderful smelling chocolate, and it felt sooooo good as she massaged it into my skin, I came out feeling like a whole new person. They give you everything you need to rinse off at the end, and meet you back at the bar with a glass of water. You'll feel so welcomed here, you'll leave feeling like a princess with skin softer than a baby and you'll smell like a fresh dipped chocolate bar! I am so thankful I found this treasure of a place. Naseem was an absolute pleasure to work with, made sure I was comfortable the whole time, and gave lovely conversation. I HIGHLY recommend for anyone who needs a lil pamper day while visiting, or if you need a gorgeous place to stay, they'll get you all taken care of!
