a month agoI hosted a retreat here and wanted to share some honest feedback for anyone considering booking the full property. While the space itself is beautiful and the food and staff were truly wonderful, we ran into some challenges that are important to note, especially for retreat hosts. We rented out the entire property with the expectation of a more private, contained experience for our group. However, the entire space minus guests rooms, meaning the restaurant, spa areas, and pool remained open to outside guests, which made it feel less exclusive than anticipated and we had complaints among our retreat attendees. For a retreat setting, this impacted the sense of privacy and the overall container we were hoping to create for our guests. Communication was also a bit challenging at times, as we experienced some resistance around requests that felt important for facilitating a smooth retreat experience. In addition, some of our guests found the beds to be uncomfortable, and the open-air bathrooms, while aesthetically aligned with the environment, came with mosquitos, which may not be ideal for everyone. That said, there are definitely positives, the food was excellent, and the on-site staff were kind and supportive throughout. Overall, I would recommend future retreat hosts have very clear conversations upfront about privacy expectations and shared spaces. Given the price point, there may be other venues that offer a more fully private experience. With a few adjustments, this could be a much stronger retreat location.

2 months agoOn January 28th, I had an accident at the hotel. I slipped and fell on the outdoor stairs, yelled, and the hotel staff rushed over, but didn't react at all to get me an ice pack; they just stood there watching! Later, I yelled that I needed an ice pack, and only then did they understand! After being rushed to the hospital, they confiscated my passport, saying they wouldn't let me get it back unless I paid the emergency room fees! I had no way to get compensation! It was absolutely outrageous!! The overall environment was okay, but there were tons of caterpillars on the floor—absolutely terrifying! People who are afraid of insects should avoid this place!

2 months agoExcellent place, very nice rooms with wooden floors and the staff's service is a 10/10. The massage and the food were also excellent.

5 months agoA wonderful hotel with excellent service, delicious food, and, most importantly, a great location in a quiet spot among the jungle, conveniently located to anywhere in Uluwatu. This hotel combines privacy with proximity to the area's main attractions.
