Located in the luscious Costa Rican jungle, we have designed a beautiful, safe space infused with healing energy. With Zen areas, walking trails, accommodations, ceremony spaces and an abundance of flowers and trees, you have everything you need to relax, unwind and heal with Mother Nature. Macaws, monkeys, toucans and a wide variety of tropical birds and other wildlife are daily visitors.
This was our labour of love and we are excited to share it with you and your guests.
Our Rancho is a combination of open air space suitable for yoga, workshops and all types of ceremonies and several functional rooms. It includes a large commercial kitchen with serving window, an office, 2 treatment rooms, 2 bathrooms, one with shower, a laundry room and store. We can arrange to have a talented chef to cook all types of meals or you can bring your own. We can offer daily cleaning service.
Our bunkhouse has two rooms, each with 3 bunk beds accommodating up to 12 guests with comfy pillow top mattresses! Each bunk has a personal item shelf, privacy curtain, night light and an electrical outlet for your convenience. Screened window spaces keep the bugs out but allow the sounds of the rainforest to lull you to sleep. Experience the jungle music when you awaken in the morning! We have 2 washrooms and 2 semi outdoor showers located just outside the bunk house.
Our large outdoor jacuzzi can hold 9 people comfortably. It is amazing to relax and enjoy under a starry sky. We also have a sacred fire pit with seating.
Our heart shaped labyrinth includes 7 channels inspired by our chakras and allowing guests to quiet the mind, calm anxieties, recover balance in life, enhance creativity and encourage meditation, insight, self-reflection and stress reduction. This meditative walk integrates the body with the mind and spirit.
Our view is spectacular! The majestic Arenal Volcano has many faces and she shares them with us, often several different ones on the same day!
Our founders are spiritual practitioners and can provide additional offerings to enhance your retreat… reiki, past life regression and mediumship. We are connected to our community and can arrange a wide variety of healing modalities… massage, sound healing, breathwork, energy alinement and more!
Adopting an attitude of say it… done, we can provide pretty much anything you require. We are here to serve!

in the last weekOne of the most meaningful experiences I have ever had while traveling Dragonfly Awakenings is difficult to describe because this isn’t simply an excursion or an activity. It is an experience. We spent the day doing energetic and somatic healing work with the horses, including grounding, connecting with the herd, equine mirroring and allowing a horse to choose and work with us. I came into the experience completely open, and what happened was incredibly moving. And then there was Spartacus. This beautiful, funny, powerful horse connected with me in a way I did not expect. He played with me, pushed into me with incredible intensity, loved on me and participated in some very emotional healing work with me. There were moments of laughter and moments that I am honestly still processing. What I especially appreciated was that nothing felt forced. There was space to experience whatever came up, followed by time for integration and reflection. And despite how meaningful the day was, it wasn’t overly serious. There was plenty of joy and laughter. Spartacus also discovered that I had pineapple and apparently decided all of my pineapple belonged to him. If you are drawn to energy work, spirituality, horses, healing, or simply doing something completely different while in Costa Rica, I cannot recommend Dragonfly Awakenings enough. This was not just something I did on vacation. It is something I will remember for the rest of my life.

4 months agoOur experience with Dragonfly Awakenings was truly magical and deeply healing. The equine therapy session was unlike anything I have ever experienced. I connected with a beautiful horse named Blanco, and from the moment he chose me, it felt incredibly powerful. He became a perfect mirror of who I was emotionally and spiritually. At first, it was difficult to accept what was being reflected back to me, but throughout the day, with the guidance of the horses and these incredible women, I began to understand the deeper purpose of the experience. The energy, warmth, and compassion we received made us feel completely safe, welcomed, and supported. You can truly feel the love and intention behind everything they do. This was not just an activity . It was a transformative experience that stayed with me long after it ended. I would highly recommend Dragonfly Awakenings to anyone visiting Costa Rica, especially those seeking healing, connection, self-discovery, or simply a beautiful and meaningful experience surrounded by nature and incredible souls.
